Data deletion instructions
1. Ask for deletion by email
- Email contact@pagepulse.one from your PagePulse account's email address with the subject "Data deletion request".
- Say whether you want your whole account deleted, a workspace (workspace owners only), or the data of a specific Facebook Page (workspace owners or admins; give the Page name or ID). The scope of each is in section 4.
- If you have no PagePulse account, follow "If you comment on a Page that uses PagePulse" just below.
We acknowledge your request, may ask for information to verify that the data is yours, and complete the deletion within the time limits in section 11 of the privacy policy. We email you when it is done. A request under this section covers all data from Facebook listed in section 2 of the privacy policy.
If you can no longer use your account's email address
Send the request from another address and include your account's old email address and the workspace name. We delete only once we can verify that you are the account holder; if we cannot, we reply and explain why.
If you comment on a Page that uses PagePulse
PagePulse processes comments on behalf of the workspace that connected the Page. Email contact@pagepulse.one with the Page name and a link to the comment or to your Facebook profile. When we receive the request, we inform the workspace owner and remove the content, your name and your ID from the comments stored in PagePulse within the time limits in section 11 of the privacy policy; the original event records from Meta are deleted on the schedule in section 7 of the privacy policy.
- Your comment stays on Facebook until you or the Page delete it.
- While the Page is still connected, new comments you write are still recorded.
2. Disconnect Facebook
Workspace owners and admins disconnect in the app.pagepulse.one application: the Pages screen, the "Facebook connections" box, the "Disconnect" button. Disconnecting applies to every Page that belongs only to that connection; a Page still connected through another admin keeps working.
- PagePulse deletes the connection's tokens, unsubscribes from events and stops syncing those Pages.
- Scheduled posts are not cancelled; if the Page is still disconnected at the scheduled time, the post is not published.
- The Page name and ID and the connection record (app-scoped Facebook user ID, permissions granted) are kept until you ask for deletion as in section 1. Other data is deleted according to the retention periods in section 7 of the privacy policy.
- Nothing on Facebook is deleted.
3. Remove PagePulse from your Facebook account
- On Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings, then Business Integrations.
- Select PagePulse and click Remove.
Removing the app revokes PagePulse's access to your Facebook account and Pages. To also delete the data PagePulse has stored, send a request as in section 1.
4. What is deleted and what is kept
When we act on a request, we irreversibly delete or anonymise the following data.
| Request | Who can ask | Deleted or anonymised |
|---|---|---|
| Account | The account holder | Email address, name, password hash, two-factor secret, recovery codes, sign-in sessions, invitations; your membership in workspaces is revoked. If you are the only owner of a workspace, we ask you again: either transfer ownership on the Members screen (two-factor authentication required) or confirm that the workspace should be deleted too. Data in other people's workspaces belongs to those workspaces. |
| Workspace | The workspace owner | The workspace's Pages, Facebook connections, tokens, posts, schedules, images, comments, events, members, invitations and API keys. |
| One Page | Workspace owners or admins | That Page's details, tokens, posts, comments and events. |
- Images stored on Cloudflare R2 and their accompanying information are deleted too; images already published to Facebook remain on Facebook.
- Deleting data in PagePulse does not delete posts or comments on Facebook. To remove content from Facebook, delete it on Facebook.
- Encrypted backups expire on the schedule in section 7 of the privacy policy. If a backup must be restored during that time, recorded deletion requests are applied again before the system runs again.
- The records we keep, because the law requires them, to protect the system or to prove that deletion happened, include: security logs; the deletion request ledger (identifiers or hashes only, no content); the revocation ledger (internal IDs only); the workspace audit log (which may contain invitation email addresses and member IDs), even after the workspace is deleted. How long each is kept is in section 7 of the privacy policy.
Comments deleted on Facebook
When you delete a comment on Facebook while the Page is connected and Facebook notifies PagePulse, the copy in PagePulse is marked as deleted. After a period, its content, the author's name and the author's ID are removed; only the comment ID and technical information without content (times, status) are kept until the comment's retention ends, so that the comment is not imported again. The time limits are in section 7 of the privacy policy.
